Summary

The City Manager’s Office will provide an interim update on certain American Rescue Plan Act funded projects.

Staff Recommendation

The City Commission receive an update on the American Rescue Plan Act program for activity through March 31, 2026.

Fiscal Note

Project and administrative expenses are funded by the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds allocated to the City of Gainesville by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The City received its first half of the $32.4 million allocation ($16.2 million) on June 14, 2021, and the second tranche on June 16, 2022. Through March 31, 2026, $30.8 million, or 95.0% of the total ARPA grant, has been spent.
